PayPal Transaction Fees
📘 How to Configure PayPal Fees in Juicy
When setting up PayPal as a payment method in Juicy, it’s important to understand how Shopify charges fees. Your Shopify plan — and whether Shopify Payments is enabled — determines what you need to enter.
1. PayPal Processing Fees (Automatic)
Juicy automatically extracts PayPal’s own processing fees directly from the transaction receipt we receive through Shopify.
You do not need to enter these manually.
- Flat fee: automatic
- Percentage fee: automatic
These come directly from your PayPal account.
2. Shopify Third-Party Transaction Fees (You must enter this)
Shopify may charge an extra fee when customers pay using external payment providers like PayPal.
This fee depends on:
- your Shopify plan
- whether Shopify Payments is enabled
A) If Shopify Payments is ENABLED
You pay no third-party transaction fees on PayPal payments.
➡️ Enter in Juicy:
Shopify relative fee = 0%

B) If Shopify Payments is DISABLED
Shopify charges an additional fee based on your plan:
Shopify plan | Third-party transaction fee |
|---|---|
Basic | 2% |
Grow | 1% |
Advanced | 0.6% |
➡️ Enter in Juicy:
Shopify relative fee = your plan’s fee
(e.g., 2% on the Basic plan)
